This app is perfect ! Launch VLC on my laptop at work, then I've got full control over it from my phone, or tablet! Best few bucks I've spent, absolutely worth it
I have been looking for a quick and easy way to play radio streams from my mac mini through my hi-fi amp without the hassle of having the tv on, and using a wireless keyboard/mouse as a controller. This plus vlc appears to have provided the answer at a very reasonable price - worth every penny. Thanks for the app and bye-bye to my fm tuner! :)

Love this app, wish I'd found it sooner, easier to see and browse what's on pc connected to tv to watch from tablet, big thumbs up
Playlist does not populate unless vlc is already playing, also password doesn't save even when checkbox is clicked
Works like a charm, wish I could get it to work while my vpn is on but I'm pretty sure that my issue not the apps
Great app wether you have the free version or paid. Most of what I watch for TV is on my computer and played through VLC. Tried other programs to use as a remote but they didn't work well or at all. Then I found this app, why didn't I type in vlc remote sooner. The free version is good but the paid version is well worth the cost if you use it as much as I do. Simple quick setup makes it even better. I give it 10 stars but Google will only let me give 5.
